Visited my friend at the retirement home today and was genuinely impressed by the seniors — several of them over 90, sharp, cheerful, and full of spirit. They’re already gearing up for the July 1st Canada Day Parade, which will pass by Chateau Glengarry just after noon, followed by all the festivities.

The Legion has built a float to celebrate its 100‑year anniversary — honouring Canada, our veterans, and our community. The setup is remarkable: restored jeeps, a beautiful tractor‑trailer unit and a great mix of people riding on the float and walking alongside, including Community Living participants and residents from Chateau Glengarry. My parents have been at Chateau Glengarry for over a year now and love the staff and facilities where they receive great care and have access to fun activities plus local community. Alexandria is a great little town and not too far from large cities like Ottawa, Cornwall and Montreal. They also have great outdoor concerts around the corner in the summertime.

Our Location

Chateau Glengarry is located in the beautiful rural community of Alexandria, Ontario, halfway between Ottawa and Montreal.
